We extract knowledge from multivariate analysis of electrocardiographic signals (ECG) to develop human factors-related devices and applications. Combining expertise on Artificial Intelligence and Human-Machine Interaction, we carry out the entire production cycle, from the design of electronic circuits to the finished product, including embedded software programing, development of signal processing algorithms, and data analysis.

CardioID’s breakthrough technology leverages state-of-the-art biomedical knowledge related to the electrical activity of the heart, sizing up cardiac conditions for safety, security and personalization in everyday life activities.
Non-intrusive heart monitoring enables the detection of multiple cardiac pathologies and can be used for cardiac rehabilitation.

We bring a deep knowledge in applied research and development in the fields of Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning, as a spin-off of Instituto Superior Tecnico (University of Lisbon). To meet the expectations of our customers, we continuously expand our knowledge through collaborative work with other reputable organizations and stakeholders, giving rise to products and solutions tailor-made for each situation.
CardioLeather is an 18-months project funded by Portugal Compete 2020 research and innovation program, led by CardioID, in co-promotion with Couro Azul, CTIC, Instituto Superior Técnico, and Universidade de Aveiro. It aims to produce a conductive leather with built-in physiological signal acquisition electronics to be applied to steering wheels and other in-car surfaces, allowing non-intrusive monitoring of the occupants' identity, health, and wellbeing.

Valu3s Project: Verification and Validation of Automated Systems’ Safety and Security We are excited to announce that CardioID is part of the VALU3S consortium, which aims to design, implement and evaluate state-of-the-art V&V (verification and validation) methods and tools in order to reduce the time and cost needed to verify and validate automated systems with respect to safety, cybersecurity and privacy (SCP) requirements.
